Egg salad Chicken and white fungus soup Steamed taufu (The only authentic Vietnamese vegetarian food that I know how to cook and had never tried before until last Wed) Rocket shrimp and spring rools. (The rocket schrimp is finished like 30 seconds after they are served. Salad rolls (which not so many people wanted to eat cos it's "too healthy")
Also, I want to introduce to you my latest addition to my gadget family: Bryant (meaning: faithful). It's a wooden figure for Arts my roomie bought for me cos he thought my figure drawing sucks. Thanks a lot roomie. More and more pictures and arts work will start flooding this blog soon. So stay tuned
Hey everyone. I'm terribly sorry for the lack of updates recently. It's not that I stop trying to make Arts, it's just my life was getting terribly hectic. 446, one of my courses took almost 8 hours a day of research and work. I'm a full time employee and I also secretly do this... My Graduation Video. Actually I was really reluctant to do it, cos really no time and I would cry like a few hundred times trying to summarize this wonderful year now that it is over. But I guess I made it in the end.
This is the intro I had for it in my ceremony "6 months ago I made a video to celebrate batch 6 graduation. Eversince then I've been asking myself to do something even better for my batch. I could not do that, because everything I knew best, I have done for that last video. So instead of making something better, I made something different, something more personal because these are the people that I hold so much closer and more dear to my heart. I want to dedicate this video to the people that it is made of: my batch mate. This is also a very special thank you note to our wonderful program director, Gean."
So, without further delay, I introduce to you the story of one of the most amazing years in my life...
For people who don'y really get it: - The intro is the paintings slowly turn into real photos of the 13 of us and our beautiful Gean - Chapter 1: The difficulties we (actually I) faced throughout the year. Instead of making it depressing and straight to the face I made it light and funny. Being able to laugh at your mistakes and your difficulties is the ability to get stronger. The ending is this lonely guy facing lots of stormy weather but then his friends helped him see the rainbow and helped him stand strong - Chapter 2: Just friends. The fun, the stupid things we did together as friends - Finale: A summary of this year events, month by month... Gean's words for us and my words for my dearest friends :) (I believe they all will skip that in the future) I kept it as real as I could, not just happy moments but also sad ones, angry ones, etc. There's an insider segment that no more than 5 people will understand, but well, it's my video, it's my artistic perspective :p Hehe. - Post script: A parody played on Titanic and Gean. It aims to leave the last note, making people cry by making them laugh.
I hope you like it. I hope you have a clue how much this year have meant to me.
My company bought an external flash for my camera. SO HAPPY!!! Just what i wanted. I really really love my company. Meet my little baby CYCLOP after the make over. He grew up and became so freaking cool liao :)
10th week into drawing course...No more normal ideas to draw for the everyday assignment. So I thought I will start drawing series, variations of 1 idea. This week idea is The invisible man. Sometimes in life I really feel like invisible. People can see right through me They don't know who I am and don't know what I truly think. They only see a shadow of clothes, of dancing around pretence of a funny clown. Yes, this is it, the invisible man who has no face, no expression, and his every day life.
Went flying to New York on a jet plane with my colleague this morning. Very very very cool! it's amazing! Here are the photos. First time took aero photography so I was really nervous. Totally scared. The airplane speed was high and it was vibrating inside so I took all of them at high shuttle speed of 1/400. At that speed ISO must be about 640 -> 800. Hence it produces a lot of digital noise. I took them in HUGE resolution also, so I did compressed them by a lot and compromised a bit of the quality. So pardon me if it aint look too good to you. Anyway nothing can beat the REAL experience. It was so damn freaking cool and amazing!!!
